Default Avatar Communities Film Project Update

Kaltxi folks,

Hope folks don't mind me posting here. It seemed like the best place to put it. Anyway I thought you might all like to know how the Avatar Comminities Film Project is progressing.

Filming in Progress:
So far we have had footage in from five contributors with another five undertaking filming or due to upload their footage for the film. Another three are due to undertake their filming. So we're beginning to move along. The only slight downer is that we are thin on the ground regarding tsmuke (sister) contributions. I might start having to ask the guys to dress up! Only joking.

DVD Interactive Feature:
The interactive feature for the DVD is advancing at a pace with Unil Makto who has been doing an excellent job with it and putting in an incredible amount of effort. He has almost completed the Mac version and is progressing the Windows version.

A Call To All Tsmuke (Sisters)!
One area where our film project is lacking is some sister input! So calling all tsmuke out there, how would you like to be part of our film project? The film is simply us people here and on Avatar-Forums telling the viewers how we need to look after our home planet. It has been inspired by the message in Avatar and the various discussions on this forum and AF.

The script has been written so that all you have to do is say a line of text, or more if you wish, to camera or off camera whilst filming what is described within it. Then simply upload the footage for editing. We're not after Avatar movie quality here. We're just normal...well apart from the Avatar thing,...normal people trying to make a difference.

The end result will be put onto You Tube and also a DVD complete with the interactive feature for all those who have taken part. We also intend sending a copy to Lightstorm Entertainment, being as it is their work, and especially Mr JC, who has inspired us all here.

If you haven't seen an example of what has been filmed so far click on the link below:

And what am I going to be doing?
As for me, well, besides editing the footage together, I'm doing my contribution in Nottingham city centre where I need to be in a crown of folks! Ooo, scarey...err... I mean exciting! Just hope the sheriff of Nottingham isn't around (we do have one! - no Robin Hood though..apart from a statue...from which the arrow keeps getting stolen...odd!).

Timescales:
We are looking at getting the 'principle photography'...ok filming then... done by the end of 18th July, which is like another two weekends worth of filming time yet! Plenty of time. This should hopefully give enough time to get it complete before the re-release of Avatar in August....all being well.

So there you go. A run down of our film project. I hope you are inspired enough to take part in this project, especially if you are a tsmuke (sister). Please do get in touch and PM me if you are. I'll forward you a link to the script, some simple filming tips and also info on how to upload the footage.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your friendly forum film maker,

Alan

Kaltxi, Alan!

I'm a tsmuke who *may* be able to contribute some film footage to the project. I sent you a PM about it today.
