Default Stereoscopic Edits.

For any wondering what Stereoscopy is, see here: Stereoscopy - (Wikipedia)

Fie on the fools who spend thousands of dollars on a 3D television.

So, this might only work for some of you. (I have quite a few friends who can't keep their eyes crossed long enough to focus.)
But yeah, I was making these for other stuff, then was like "Hey, I wonder if I could do it with avatar screencaps..."
I think it worked pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Depending on how lazy I am, I might get a bunch of frames done (gotta find a short enough scene) and make a "3D" GIF.

Feel free to post your own, if you've any.
A

(more to come, ...eventually )

B
Slightly less related, but...Can anyone see this?

(Here's a really cool one, too.)

i had to do this for geography, we got 2 aerial photos and put them together like above but we had a special instrument which allows you to focus one eye each on a photo and when they "come together" the geographic features (like mountains and buildings) seem to come out of the page.

B makes my eyes go weird
I'm bad at crossing my eyes though.

Whoa, awesome! Man, that last one, Neytiri is really well done, but the background hurts my eyes, the curly shell was moved too much.
Edit: Oh I think I see what they did there... Took two pictures from one scene where the camera was panning. Hmm, that's kind of clever. I'mma try that next time, maybe.

Wainfleet. Giving you some... IN THREE DIMENSIONS.

The bad thing about doing it with screen shots, is it makes them so wide.

yea this stuff is so awesome, I can get my eyes to adjust pretty quickly now And its so cool once its in focus you can like look around the image, although sometimes I reach my fingers towards Neytiri and then it breaks the lock

I can see the B picture. But how the hell do you see the A one?

cross your eyes until you see two A and B pictures, then slowly uncross them until the left B and the right A meet, and slowly focus your eyes, and then you have a 3-D image. It may take a few minutes to do at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes really easy

Nope. Sorry. I can't. B is easy, since that's one of those where you just look past the image and then slowly readjust.

But I dunno about the crossing-eyes technique for the double images... Are you sure you "cross your eyes" to see each image? Because that's not physically possible. You can look at each image with one eye viewing one image in the same direction, and vice versa with the other eye, but you can't make one eye look at an opposite image as the other. You can only look past the center, or else try to blur it until the two come together, but you can't cross each eye to view opposite images at once...

Well, I assure you that it is possible. I can't really prove it. Try reading this 3D Showcase: Help with Cross-Eyed Stereo Viewing
It takes some practice. I remember a while ago when I couldn't even cross my eyes, like, at all.

Hmm. Well, I tried with the first two and all I got was seeing three of the same image, with the centermost looking like it was coming off the screen. Then I tried with the bottom two... didn't work.

First two? Bottom two? Like, in that link? Cause there's only one picture there that you're supposed to be using.
