Well, you don't really see them do alot of things,

I can only assume that Neytiri goes off screen & gets some grub when she brings Jake into the camp bit & he tells them not to get up.

Seeing them just sitting around having a snack might be a bit too much of a filler & would probably be edited out on a film this long, theres alot that's just left to your imagination - which I kinda like.
