Default Untouched Natural Places

So, has anyone actually been to a place that has been virtually undisturbed by humans?

I have. Opal Creek, in Salem, Oregon, is a large forest that was going to be turned into a mine about 100 years ago. The miners built a small settlement and looked for copper (IIRC) but never really found much. They fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and decied to live there.

Then, a logging company (back before there were so many rules regarding logging in Oregon) was coming in to start clear-cutting, when all of the miners stopped them on a bridge leading to the area at gunpoint and held them off.

That's what I was told by the park staff when I went there. I went there for a class in my Freshman year of college, and the class stayed there for a couple of days to conduct field studies and enjoy the area. It was absolutely massive; many of the trees were centuries old, and you could still se the places where the mine was going to be set up but never materialized.

Anyone else been anywhere like this?

I have spent considerable time in true wilderness. Pretty much all of the wilderness designated in the US before about 1990 was for the most part totally untouched by humans. Now people have been there, but the land is unchanged. Some of the more recent wilderness is not so pristine. WE have a lot of it here in California.

Come to Alaska. The majority of this state is undisturbed wilderness.

Not really... There are various forests around here, but they're all heavily controlled by humans, not that old, and some are occasionally cut for wood then allowed to regrow so they're actually fairly recent
