I just posted this a few minutes ago on AF, and I didn't even know these ideas were in my head 'till I wrote them...
What are your thoughts on the plotline and storyline of the second and third films? Here was my (short) analysis: "The next big thing" brings things to my mind... What could possibly be bigger than attempting to kill Eywa? ...Killing the natives off, maybe. RDA realizes the eminent threat they pose, and earth has gotten so desensitized, that killing a bunch of humanoids (with proper propaganda sold to the public) would solve everything. The battle for their lives begins... That's a possible. How would the oceans tie in? Well, maybe as a side-step to the primary plot, the drilling would take place mostly in the oceans (a wink and a nod to off-shore drilling). This climactic end to the second (as with most trilogies) would most likely be just a prelude to part three. Part three might have the other moons around Polyphemus involved (as Cameron indicated would only be possible in a third film, if at all); Jake gets hold of a ship captured from the battle. Blim blam with an emotional scene between Jake and Neytiri talking about the lives of other peoples on other moons, that are probably being raided as well by the RDA. Jake saves the galaxy? Maybe. Just thinking out loud, you know. I really don't get how the second movie could possibly be bigger and better without some sort of conflict involved, like another battle... maybe taking place mostly on the ground this time. Images cloud my head, like Neytiri wearing human-styled clothes (to pass as an avatar), or the Na'vi learning to use guns, giving rise to the question of armed capabilities. The Na'vi are a growing people, technologically. I mean, they learned how to use those spiffy radios to communicate. Any other ideas? Last edited by Woodsprite; 07-08-2010 at 11:31 AM. Reason: Changed the title. / Made a sentence stand out more. :P |
