I think that time does not exist actually, what we perceive is movement and changes. See, if you observed that everything around is going quicker than you, you would say that time has sped up; if reality slowed down, you would think time has also slowed down.
Also, notice how even time cannot be measured without movement (the definition of a second is based on oscillations). Though understanding movement as a consequence of time is a practical concept, actually time is a consequence of movement. No time = No movement. Frozen Universe. We would have lost all energy, perhaps?
