I've been wondering recently about the extent to which it's possible to change one's motivations/thought processes.
That's probably a bit vague, so I'll try to explain... Prior to December 2008, I was a neutral / slightly unhappy person, unless something particularly good happened. But in that month, I decided to stop hoping for life to be good, and started hoping for it to be interesting instead. So far, life hasn't disappointed in this regard and, presumably as a result of this, I'm now happy 'by default', if you like. ![]() Now, how far could I take this? What other areas could I apply this to? Is it perhaps a bad idea to try?
