Things you notice on repeat viewings...

It's nothing massive, but i noticed that at the part where jake is walking through the forest - away from Grace and Norm - you can hear Grace saying in the background, "Norm, you just contaminated the samples with your saliva."
Found it kinda funny

I'm thinking that Ron contacted Max back at Hell's Gate after Jake took off to gather the clans and told him what was happening.
Max told them later on that Quaritch was out of control, I think it was a double front attack.

I noticed that from watching it with the subtitles on. It's kind of noisy in my roomso when I watch it without the headphones I pu tthe subtitles on. You catch a lot of stuff you miss with the amount of action going on sometimes.

Hehe, I noticed that first time, made me smile. When I won some Avatar stuff at the Bluray release, that was one of the questions, which I got right

Also, it's kinda weird but watching it IMAX, I noticed how FAST Jake and Ney were in the shot where they entered the forest from above with Toruk chasing them. Must be the 3D cause it never seemed so fast on the Blu-Ray.

Someone just pointed out in the Mo'at's blood test thread that she is wearing her queue in two braids down her front.
I looked through all the shots I have of her and dang if she has it braided like that all the time. Never realized it was her hair until someone pointed it out.
Verrry interresting. Which brings up a whole other slew of questions on why she has it that way. If your hair continues to grow (at least for humans) does the queue hair grow only as long as needed?
Can the fibers be divided like that or is it only on one side? It looks like it's pretty even braids on both sides... is this a costume thing or is there some rationale behind it?
Curious minds want to know.
Dead tired and stressed brains need to think about trivial stuff right now.

I noticed that before, my theory is that the queue goes down one side, then the other side is just a braid. As for the queue itself growing, I'd guess that it grows as the actual Na'vi does (so it's proportionally the same), but doesn't actually grow in proportion to the rest of the body.

The main stuff I noticed were all things relating to the major themes of Avatar.

The number of lines about dreams/reality and "waking up"
The number of times Jake opens his eyes and the significance behind each one.

There are a lot of subtleties with Jake's ability to walk to. Him looking at his legs here and there.

There's some pretty cool depth. Takes a few viewings to get it for sure. There is SOOOO much detail it's awesome.

I just realized that when Jake goes back to make his report to Quaritch in the meeting room... Quaritch asks, 'Haven't got lost in the woods have you?'
As a matter of fact... yes he did! I know someone made a caption for that scene but what I thought of was kind of funnier.
This whole mess started with him running off into the jungle and getting lost.
Kind of ironic ya think? It's a phrase that would be common but in this case... kind of funny.

I also just noticed that red and yellow seems to be the clan colors. Look at Mo'at's cape, Neytiri's feathers and even Eytukan's decorations. Hmmm. That's my costume side coming through.

if you look closely to Grace's right wrist when she first gets out of the link and asks for her cigarette, you can see a small tattoo :O kind of looks like the Adidas Tracy McGrady logo XD

i also recently noticed that scorpion gunships have windshield wipers

I noticed one time on the nose of the Samson, there's a cleat with rope wrapped around it. In the scene where Trudy is walking Sam to see Quaritch, they stop at her ship. I had to rewind it to make sure. What the heck would they be tethering/lifting? Guess it's jungle equipment.

After the inspirational speech at the Tree of Souls, Jake and Neytiri run to the Toruk.While Jake climbs on its back,Neytiri stops some distance away, her whole body language saying "uhh,wait...maybe this is'nt such a good idea."

They lift the shack at the end of the movie, didn't you pay attention? lol just joking
