This is Sad, Very Sad Only - They Did Not Have to Die.
I guess I'm posting this to ask everyone to today take a moment to send a kind thought or prayer to both this family below and to any family that has lost a child.
Yesterday my husband and brother were the first responders to a terrible, terrible accident, a hit and run of a child on a bike whom didn't make it. I will not describe the horror of the scene they had to deal with, nor the plight of the mother and sister whom had to witness that scene as well. Suffice to say this is nothing more than absolutely tragic. The other sad part .. is that had the child been wearing a bike helmet .. he would have survived! Our thoughts go out to this family and to the safety of all children, youth, and families from the horrible crime of drunk driving. This did not need to happen!
