Now that opens up a lot of other detail questions.
Okay, going to get sidetracked here.IF the bundle of fibers is not encased like it is with other animals, then it is possible to divide it and bring it around front like she has it. It's possible it's only on one side, but I'm going to have to find a picture of her from the back and see what it looks like there. This is one of those niggling details that's going to bug me because I have bigger issues that I don't want to deal with right now.
(Kind of like on Babylon 5 figuring out Delenn's hair/bone arrangement after she becomes half human.)

James Cameron mentioned that animals on Pandora have heightened instincts, but are certainly not telepathically connected. Thus, Mo'at's reasons to let Jake stay has never been too clear to me.

Mo'at is a Priestess. She is in touch with Eywa, spiritually. Through the blood test, Eywa was able to communicate to Mo'at her will for Jake - that he be trained in the Na'vi ways. Eywa had big plans for Jake, and through Mo'at, Eywa saw to it that Jake would be prepared well for his great mission.

Well said. This is what I believe too.

Have you ever noticed her face when she tastes his blood? It's one of surprise, of curiousness. I believe from her blood test, she can see where Jake is going what he will be asked to do and in turn she can see that he will be great.
