ok, take a deep breath. Talk to your professors. See what you can do to get your grades up. Be honest and definitely make up a schedule (do this essay, research, etc on this day or that day at a specific time). We all have problems with time management. I was a terrible procrastinator when I was in school. I would stay up all night trying to get papers done, etc and I would end up giving my family a hard time because I was stressed. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you. If you are kicked out of the course, there might be a chance for you to retake it again later. .

^This. A schedule out in the open is best for me. I put it right next to my computer screen so I am constantly reminded to do it instead of surf the web

Thanks for the amazing support people, reading these really calmed me down a lot.

I talked to my tutors today and he said he doesn't care about the quality of the work now, it's just a question of getting everything I have done together, documenting it and drawing a line under the whole thing. He said I could still probably scrape a pass on the first two projects and as long as I work really, really hard on the next 8 week project, which accounts for 50% of the marks, I could still come out of the course with a merit.

But a thanks once again for all the brilliant support. You really are a family I can rely on. *Group hug*

I am happy to hear that your tutors are willing to work something out. Even though they don't care about the quality of the work I would care about it. Do the best that you can .

Indeed, Rapunzel. Fkeu'itan: put forth your best effort and show your tutor you were worth being given another chance.

Then: LEARN FROM THIS...or you're doomed to repeat it. (And yes, I speak from personal experience. Different circumstances, same lesson.)

Agreed 101%. I have been through this experience way, way, way too many times. It's time I started taking action instead of just sitting back and waiting for everything to be done for me.I'm going to beat this thing even if it means no sleep for the next 3 nights.

*Cue motivational music and 80s-style studying montage.*

Fkeu'itan, I know how you feel tsmukan! I've been in the same position before. Sometimes you just have to make a pot of coffee and buckle down for a couple of all nighters. The "pomodoro technique" has worked well for me when I have trouble focusing on a project. Set a timer for 25 minutes, and put your sole focus on the task at hand. When the timer goes off, take a 5 minute break, then reset it. Every 4th time the timer goes off, take a slightly longer break. Hope that helps!
