Default Machiavellianism

I have started the Machiavellianist society as a group here on ToS. Feel free to join. But beware, Machiavellianism is a very refined and specific teaching.

Also, feel free to discuss it on this thread.

1. the principles of government set forth in The Prince by Machiavelli, in which political expediency is exalted above morality and the use of er aft and deceit to maintain authority or to effectuate policy is recommended.

2. an activity characterized by subtle cunning, duplicity

Reading The Prince myself. Didn't get yet to the part I disagree, but I've just read 30 pages so far.

Though I still believe not morality but common good is above the interests of the powerful.

Machiavelli...goodness I haven't heard the likes of him since freshman year. He was one of my favorite subjects to cover in school.
