I think PayPal is more secure way than using a card directly.

Lol, I was in a state of "wtf" for a bit after I read that. But now you say "debit card" and it all makes sense. I also have a debit. But I don't have a credit card and I'm almost 20; to me, credit cards = debt-makers. I don't want any until I have a steady job, and even then I'll probably end up getting only about 2.

Don't use debit cards online. If a malicious party gets your info, they can drain your accounts with absolutely no way to get your money back.

Get a credit card with no annual fees, and pay your bill on time. Its really easy to use one properly, unfortunately, many stupid people who build up credit card debts give them a bad name.

If your willing to risk all of your savings in a gamble like that, go right ahead.

Just because you trust a site, doesn't mean somebody cant gain access to detailed information in the future.

As long as you pay attention, there is absolutely no downside to using a credit card. You pay nothing, and you get a safety net if your online information is compromised. win win.

Credit cards = interest. No one should really have one unless they have a steady job where they know they can pay off the card. It's really all about being responsible (like you said), but sometimes things happen.

With a debit, you don't really have that problem.. Thing is, though, if you're using it through paypal, there isn't much to worry about except to watch for bad emails.

You only pay interest if you don't pay it off in the first month. I haven't paid a dime of interest in my life.

Depends what card... my debit card has protection against unauthorised use... not all do though.
