I've used Handbrake to rip the Avatar DVD because I don't like the constant noise from my DVD drive. Unfortunately, I don't know how to rip the DVD at its native quality. I've looked online, but it still doesn't help. Can someone help me with this?

There's always DVDFab Decrypter, which can copy the DVD to your computer at full, original quality
...also removing the copy protection as well. |

Use DVDDecrypter (not fab) to get unprotected dvd files from the original disc (skip this step if you have the VIDEO_TS folder on your PC already), and VOBmerge to combine them into one .vob. This will get you a single MPEG2 file with pixel-perfect video (1:1 ratio) and original 5.1 audio that should play in pretty much any media software, in under 10 minutes.

I do the same thing I do with music cds: buy the product, then grab a rip from usenet.

Well remember, we need to make it all sound like we're all good, honest people who don't do... things.
