When I was a kid I myself considered joining the air force or being some kind of military pilot...
...'cause those were the first careers of the original American astronauts, and that was what I really wanted to be.  I still think it would be wonderful to learn how to fly.

They give you written contract to go to flight school after passing basic and then you have to fight your way to the top and hope they have enough jet openings. As for commercial, thats what I would do after. The drawback with commercial is that its expensive and takes lots of hours to get that license. So a lot of guys (especially the older guys) flew cargo in the military for years to get that training and hours done. My grandfather flew in the military and then commercial and he absolutely loved it. Ill stop now because I just realized how insanely long this post is

I thought about the air force, but I decided to stick with the Nightstalkers. I didnt feel like playing it safe 30,000 feet in the air.
