This is sipmly a repost of all the poetry I have written since seeing Avatar. I hope you like them.
![]() Broken lies our dream. Cravings harking back to a distant past, A past long since forgotten, Just a point in a myriad. But all is not lost. Repairs can be made, Splits fixed, Vast gorges bridged. Yet reward comes not without toil. It is distant but achievable. Love is our saviour, Collaboration our peace, Truth our necessity. Religion, politics, race matter not. We are all united under our glorious orb. Broken lies our dream, But we are the mucilage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Euphoria. State and mind of bliss. Racking the pit of reason, Knows no bounds. Fallen to the cause, A new dawn breaks. Truth bears no longer a price, Compassion turns us golden. Aloft the flag of humanity is held, Born free of our mortal coil. We turn to face each other And melt in the purity. Love omits our imperfections, Hearts and minds converge. Old bulwarks tumble, Outwards we progress. A leak of glory, A shaft of light, We. Are. Free. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neytiri, my love Eyes glistening with the light of a thousand suns, A sight held only by the highest of angels, You gaze at mine. Amidst the sweet light of day and the emminent glow of night, We lose ourselves in the moat of the soul. Form and feeling entwined. Alas, relationship is lost, Twix'd the borders of reality and fallacy, Yet a space remains always in the core. True love knows no limits, Desire, no boundries. A more profound love could never be felt. Yet duration remains unbreakable, It limits as a vice, Ever encroaching. Until, enevitably the time comes when we must part. But I know you will wait, In baited suspense, For our glorious reunion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A deeper heart, Longing for passionate coil, Is freed, In but a fleeting glance. Although doubt may roll in, As viscious tides, This flame burns far deeper, And shall ne'er be doused. Eylids, Once fused shut by frivolous pursuits, Now snap wide open. Exposure is beauty. For these once tired eyes, Now enhance the intricacies, Of our troubled, Yet incedible globe. Light to retina, Retina to brain, But this is not mere process. This is love.

I agree with ProfoundHeart, very deep and very emotional. You are very talented when it comes to Poetry, ma tsmukan.
Word choice and descriptions are amazing. I love the one you have done dedicated to Neytiri, and the imagery of the freedom one is awesome ![]() ~Skxawng

The world and love would be lost without our poets. These brought a joy to my heart as I read them. And I've already admited elsewhere I'm such a faller for love poems. But here this one, I find my favorite.

Also, may I say I agree. Language does not have to be just a vehicle for information, it can be a direct line to our emotions and to the the soul. Oel ngati kameie.

I wished I could express myself like that. Really, you've got talent for poetry as also an almost perfect master of language: you seem to know what words fit in each verse.
You might enjoy a Spanish poetry book, "Poet in New York", by Federico Garcia Lorca. It talks about alienation and life in the Big Apple. I haven't read it yet, but it seems to be pretty neat.

Wow, those were beautiful Fkeu'itan. Thank you for sharing. It has been a long time since I have written any poetry. I don't have the knack for it quite like you do
