Default Lost Planet 2.

Anyone got this? I rented it for a couple of days last week and I have to say the online play was amazing! The fact that you can join in on other peoples' campaigns and they can join your's really impressed me, also the multiplayer tournaments and battles were loads of fun too.
I'll definitely be buying this after I pull my face out of all the books I have to study for exams.

I remember Lost Planet online was really good. I'm not hugely interested for some reason, I may borrow from a friend but I won't buy it. Not when I'm skint and Call of Duty: Black Ops is coming out soon

I have a friend who was 'going on and on' about how cool this game was. I'll tell you what I told him. The gameplay looks forced and clunky, and the graphics and physics engine doesnt leave much to be desired. (when you walk the puddles dont even splash, you have to jump to make a splash.)

Sure, the game is no where near perfect (it's even worse when you've got a fave game like FFXIII to compare it with) and in fact it lacks severly in the story department; the characters are nameless and I passed the game and I don't even know what exactly the plot was!).

Despite all this, Lost Planet 2 is huge bunch of fun, seeing your enemy and blasting him with a rocket launcher that's bigger than your character is pure awesome and things get epic in it, real epic.

There's also a jungle world much like Pandora in it and probably one of the main reasons why I like the game.

I personally love the online play on it, it's no Halo but it's near the equivalent.

I have great attention to detail and I should have every reason to hate this game, there's loads of technicality flaws and small things that might drive the slightly impatient nuts but it gaurantees fun and that's why I'll be buying it.

i'm going to buy this game. it looks so damn good. forget the gameplay, online play, graphics etc... the idea of it is what i love. you're on a planet full of monsters and at the same time you fight a corporation... thats enough for me to want to play it

Hahaha, oh man, I was totally thinking of Little Big Planet, since a sequel of that is coming out/already out, as well. Anyway, damn! This game looks AWESOME, and it's for Windows too. God bless the developers.

Little Big Planet is almost just as awesome! *really want guns in LBP*

The *only* thing I didnt like about LP2 is when you first start out in multiplayer. Any weapons you unlock in career mood (like the gunsword or the machine gun SP - seriously badass weapons) can be used in online playing. So if you only have a machine gun you will get CREAMED, like noob blasting. The only way to stop this from happening is playing career with a friend until you get enough money (and with a bit of luck) get a badass weapon so you can whoop other people back.
