You know, Lang kept stressing that they still have his DNA, I just had a random thought.
Avatar Quarich. I think we have achieved absolute badassery.

Problem though, Quaritch is dead.
Also, that would be UNBELIEVEABLY cheesy and cliche, talk about giving the haters everything they need... also, Quaritch would be as weak as an avatar as Jake was at the start, if not worse (due to being a skxawng but not willing to learn)

No - dont bring that guy back. He's dead. I dont want dead guys coming back. Also, Quaritch was only the figher, the "evil villain" was selfridge (or rather the RDA).
But I'd like to see in the sequens, that something good comes out for humans, that they end up "seeing" and acting. I leave that open, but I'd like people on Earth to follow Jake in their own way and create a new future on Earth inspired by the NA'Vi and what is on Pandora. "They killed their mother" - thats what Jake said, and I would see a scene in the end where a little seed of the sacred tree is growing on the desolate plains of that Earth with the knowledge, that this can be a new beginning, a rebirth. - well , just fan fantasy

I wouldn't say the RDA was evil since they weren't taking the Na'vi or the planet into account. Had they truly been "evil" they would've been doing exactly what they were doing, only with the knowledge of what they were destroying, yet not caring at all. But that wasn't the case.
So no, the RDA wasn't "evil".

Hmmm, Quaritch's cloning would be corny and cliched. Remember, the T-800s in T1 and T2 are technically two different machines with different programming.
As for Selfridge, he actually kinda looked sad and seemed to take back his actions. I'm not sure if he really feels that way, or he just wants Jake's pity. Either ways, we'll have to wait for Cameron to take the story to whatever path it will be.

Well I'd agree with you if you said they were uncaring, harsh, cruel, and insensitive... but evil? That's a strong word...
...I always tend to make that mistake with the terminology!!!!! Forgive me please.

Ok, so maybe the RDA is not evil in the classical sense, but in the movie it was the "evil enemy". In fact such a corporation is not really evil - it just follows rules and regulatins and statutes and quarterly business calculations. Its not a person, so it cant be evil. But it can act evil and it can lead to people acting evil and that is what it does. I also think Selfridge didnt like beeing "evil", but it was his job. And he liked having that job. And this is true for the real world also of course
![]() And about cloning anone - that would be way too cheesy - viewers these days actually know that you cant clone someone with all his memories and revive him. That makes no sense then. I sure hope strongyl, that JC will stick to a plausible storyline within its own universe. I think that was really great in Avatar, that the technology and the ecology of the planet was quite consistent and plausible (even if it was of course very much fiction and fantasy) And yes - my "ideal ending" would be for the last sequel indeed

Okay, Col. Quaritch is dead, and I can't imagine a good way of bringing him back.
Selfridge on the other hand: Say that the people back on earth gets mad and fire him for retreating, and then he and a craw of the people sent back from pandora goes rouge, "steals" a ISV, returns to pandora to help the Na'vi to whitstand the new (presumably larger) threat from the humans. Sure, it may sound a bit riddiculus that Selfridge manages to commander an ISV and then launch it to Pandora. However I'm sura that Cameron said in a rewiev that he had though up a couple of sequel ideas since he wrote the story (first written ~1995). So hopefully it won't only be a sequel made just to earn money.

Yeah, he's hinted at a few things, including the oceans and the other moons of Polyphemus

Interesting how he used to hint mostly about the other moons but these days he tends to talk about the oceans. Do you think he's relocated the stuff that was going to happen on the other moons back to Pandora? |

Not really, since he's always had the entire storyline planned out.
