I have watched the movie with subtitles several times and would have to go get the actual word they use. I don't think it's like novocaine, that's a local anesthetic. It could be something that is specific for the Na'vi to knock them down. Will have to go look up things like 'elephant darts' and see what drug they use to take down elephants and large animals. Also... Snuffleupagus was a large hairy elephant type character on Sesame Street. I won't go into details because it's not really necessary. Leave it to say I have kids that watched Sesame Street. A lot.
