I don't really know why your parents would deny you it... Maybe you could tell them what you have said "One of the best nights sleep I've ever had was in a hammock" I'm pretty sure you would be able to convince them, Wear your special hat!

Maybe because they'd be paying for it, hehe.

I have told them that I had one of the best night's sleep on a hammock, but they still refuse to budge. My mum more than my dad, my dad is generally more of a "sure, why not" kind of a guy but my mum's far more, well, to put it bluntly, boring.
