One thing that i would love to see on the behind the scenes footage they include in these editions would be to see entire scenes (not just small snippets) performed by the actors in their performance capture suits. To see scenes like Grace's funeral, the Toruk Makto speech, Jakes First flight, or some of the Neytiri training Jake scenes in their performance capture suits would be cool to see and to see how they compare to the finished movie!

James Cameron said that in the collectors edition, you will be able to watch a "Parallel Cut" of the film which has the finished movie, and the motion capture/reference camera view alongside each other.

He said that this will be similar to "Picture in Picture" so you can watch both the finished movie and the reference camera views at the same time. That's going to be really cool.

YES! That is going to be outstanding! My only sadness would be if it is only on the bd/3d version and not on the lowest price version. I don't have a bd player set up nor a tv/computer that can play it.
Oh so awesome!

Hi all, first post here.

Behind the scenes footage, making-of documentaries, interviews with James Cameron and the actors, etc. What, you didn't think it meant extra hours of the movie, did you?!

This seems most likely. That and a fancy box to go with it. It's unlikely the DVD/BD will be any different from the regular collectors edition, it's simply not worth the extra production and pressing costs, not with the relatively small numbers that will be expected sell compared to the regular set.

PIP (Picture in Picture) is a BD only feature unfortunately. You might call it a marketing ploy, and you'd probably be right.
