James Cameron is pretty much at the level in Hollywood that whatever he says is going to happen with his work is going to. If it wasn't the case before Avatar, it certainly is now. His track record of record profits is so set in stone now that no studio is going to turn down anything he asks for. They may take their time, acting like there is negotiating going on, but there isn't

What he says goes.
