Kaltxì frapo!
I want to show you a little thingie I made for my netbook: it's a login screen made for the SLiM login manager (you can use it under UNIX-like operating systems like Linux), obviously themed after Avatar and the Na'vi language. Here's a screenshot: ![]() Here's a quick translation of the Na'vi words that I used: Mì ziva'u = Come in, instead of "login" ngeyä tstxo = your name, instead of "user name" keomusum lì'u = not-known word, and thus meaning "password" Please tell me what do you think about it. If you have any suggestions on how to make it better, please let me know! ![]() If you want to download it, click on this link. If you have a non-widescreen monitor and you want to use this theme, send me a PM (or post in this thread) with your request and I'll be glad to do it for you! Edit: TxonTirea made a "remix" of my login screen for Windows Seven, you can find it here!

I'm glad you liked it, Sacred Tsahaylu! I'm not a Windows expert, so I don't know if I could even do the same thing for Windows without the aid of third-party software like theme managers.

I'm not sure either.... I know a thing that allows you to change the logon background image, that's it

I just got Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04). The log in thing is not Slim but something else, 'gdm'
How can I make it work?

Kaltxì ma Sacred!
You can't use this login screen with GDM (that's the Gnome Display Manager), since it is intended for SLiM. But... I can make a GDM version out of it. Give me some time to understand how to do this, and I'll post it. ![]() In the meantime... what's your screen aspect ratio (4:3 or widescreen) and/or resolution? If I know this, I can adapt the wallpaper so it won't be stretched.

Wow, you are amazing!
I'm a bit embarrassed about this ( ) but I am running on a 10" netbook, 1024x600 16:9Thanks, I had a serious problem when I loaded SLiM, it crashed and when I rebooted it wouldn't load up. But I sorted it out myself, I am proud

Thank you for the offer
![]() I have another suggestion which I will try out myself. I intend to try and make the startup noise a clip from the OST
