I never questioned WHY it was valuable. I know the economics of how currency is backed as well as anyone who isn't actually an economist and could easily explain it to you if you wanted.
I still see the entire concept of currency as more of a symbol of how humans are, how people only think of themselves. Not approving of something does not imply not understanding. This thread has absolutely no justification for a sticky. As for the 7 million, sounds like a figure someone just pulled out of the air, there is absolutely no way to measure it. The £250,000 sounds wrong too, considering that's anywhere from 150% to 100% of the cost of an average sized house depending on where.
