Default What is the weather like at yours?

We all meet here in the forum - but we live in very different countries, and the nature everywhere has its unique beauty, even city landscapes can be enchanting.

I want to share some of the Mediterranean spring here

(Only, the real colours are Much better & brighter).

Anybody wants to share the landscapes from where you are?

Wet and cool, typical Oregon spring.

Great weather for bug hunts.

I could go for some Mediterranean spring weather right now Apache! Or some snow.

Right now, it's evening. Though it's been pretty humid during the day, and it's meant to be well into autumn.

You should try to find out what kind it was.

Hey there! I know, I've missed you.

Not really, it got to 28 degrees Celsius, but that's pretty mild. I like the colours from those tress in the middle pic Apache. The first tree has vivid pink leaves and the other has maroon ones.

Today and yesterday, quite hot and sunny (at least in relative terms). It's been mostly cold recently though.

@Pa'li Makto: irayo
Yes I love these trees in the middle picture, too! the pink one has flowers like carnations, and the one with marron leaves is a variety of a cherry tree. Some time ago they only had flowers but no leaves yet, and it seems like a long pink cloud along the street (cos there are many trees of this kind in the street).
About humidity - in Dubai, in the heat of summer it was 40-45ºC or more, regularly, and it was so humid that you would be soaked as soon as you're out in the street! Your bag, your hair, your sunglasses... everything! this combined with air conditioning up to the freezing point in any closed space was a sure way to colds

@Raiden: the salamandra was black with yellow spots, was it a Fire Salamandra? It was a few weeks ago, it was just out of hibernation and looked a bit boggle-minded, when I stroked it it didn't even react. So I left it in peace in its bush house. Next time I take a photo and ask You for the name!

Here, it was a right beachy weather for a couple of weeks but today the temperatures started to drop rather sharply & now it looks like rain no beach. Sniff.

Hoho!

Nice find. That would indeed be something in genus Salamandra.

One thing about salamanders, though; they breathe through their skin, so you need to be careful about touching them. Even the normal amount of skin oils on your fingers irritates them, and if you put lotion on your hands recently, you could even make them sick.

If you do see a salamander (or any amphibian) that you would like to pick up and look at, it's a good idea to wash your hands and rinse them very well (if at home) or to wet your hands in nearby water before touching it.

You should take some photos though; fire salamanders are something I've been wanting to keep for a long time, and while captive-bred specimens (not taken from the wild) are more available than ever, they aren't allowed to be kept in my state because they could become invasive.

Rhyacotriton olympicus, the Olympic Torrent Salamander.

(Candace took a photo of the one I found, but the photo above is just one from a quick google search)
