Keystone was permanently stalled under administrations that cared about environmental policies, but as you can see, fake-pres biff tannen cares nothing about drinking water, rivers, trees, inhabitants of the Natural World, just the amount of paper scraps in his pocket and those of his skulking cronies. sad. very sad only.
i see a lot of spilled fossil fuel in our future. my heart aches for the environment.

Honestly, this just fills me with sorrow. It hurts that we live in such a world that the people that truly care are the ones ignored and never given a voice in the way the world is run.

sadly, we lost another roadblock in the environmental fight to keep the Keystone XL pipeline from being built/finished. Nebraska gave the final permits for the Keystone XL pipeline to go through Native American and state preserves, including rivers and forests, all the way through the state. it happened yesterday, but was announced today on the national news. the Army Corps Of Engineers made no comment on it, but said that all regulations were followed, meaning those put in place or lowered since Trump took office. the Keystone XL plan was effectively dead under the two terms of Pres. Obama, but Trump has been steadily rolling back those environmental protections. first the hated Dakota Access Pipeline got forced through, now the KXL is alive again. sad. very sad only. i want less oil and coal being used, and more renewable energy research and solutions. fossil fuels are our doom, if we continue this path.

Oh yikes, this is actually the first of heard of this news today. I guess in a metaphorical way I couldn't see it through the smoke billowing up from the Amazon...

hopefully, the Sierra Club and the 27 Native American tribes that cooperated to block the pipeline permits under the Obama Administration, can get another appeal and tie up the pipeline owners for a while. any delay in building, helps in the long run. eventually the KXL people lose patience or Canada comes to it's environmental senses. the only reason that KXL and Dakota Access were built, is to bring nasty tar/shale/sand oil from Canada through the USA to refineries on the US Gulf Coast. smh.
