I just finished the biography A Man for Others: Maximilian Kolbe, the Saint of Auschwitz in the Words of Those Who Knew Him.

My initial Google searches of Maximilian Kolbe were enough to make me impressed by his sacrifice of his life for a stranger. This book went further and emotionally affected me in detailing his everyday dignity, especially in the face of uncommon inhumanity. Truly, I believe I've learned about someone incredible.

The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. This is genuinely great fantasy, with the best magic system I have ever seen in fiction writing.

Can someone please point me in the direction of some seriously good books? The last series I finished was the millennium series (girls with the dragon tattoo). Haven't touched a book since and that bothers me.

"The Best of H.P. Lovecraft" is pretty good horror. It has some of Lovecraft's short stories.

"America Gods" by Neil Gaiman. It's about this guy that just gets out of jail, and he soon realizes that there's something big happening to the world.

"Love Saves the Day" by Gwen Cooper. If you love cats, and soft, moshy feelings then this book's for you.
