I admit, with some regret, that I have little enthusiasm for Avatar now. Too much time has passed since the original film was released for any excitement to remain, and in truth, other more profound events have shaped my life and character during my wait for the sequel.

Always I shall reflect happily on that period of my life in which I first watched Avatar, but I feel that the experience now belongs to the past, to a more naive, teenage me.
