Hugs.

Unless the reason you kept him in your life is good, you should move on.

Of course.

But, saying 'move on' is one thing - actually doing it is another, much longer, and often painful process.
Oops, I didn't mean for me now, because yes, I've moved on from that 'relationship' - had done so ages ago. It's moving on from the lingering hurt and stuff though I guess, and those bad memories. That's the hard bit.
But yes, moving moving on!

It's a shame emotions are so complicated, or is it?

If things weren't complicated life would be smooth sailing, but if things are complicated it allows us to meditate on them and try to improve on them... like love or emotions

I agree with the two of you. Without such complexity, there would be nothing to explore...

Life would be boring by then!

Autum, I hope everything turned out okay for you and I certainly hope everything is resolved up to this point! *hugs* Just a friendly reminder, life can be tough at times but it does help us grow a lot over time and make us learn to be the best we can be. So don't worry too much about it, just live and be happy!

Ah, exactly. This is exactly the kind of thought I wanted to provoke through my remark.

Definitely. But also makes it a bit difficult at times too But that's okay, as the others have said, those lessons make you stronger etc.

And there is the other side of the story. The latter part of your statement is the penultimate outcome. So true.

Exactly autumn.

Here are some lyrics from a song that I find very true.

Behavioural reactions and mistakes are more like acclimations. What is experienced in your own life cannot be passed onto the next generation. What affects your life will teach you the lessons, make you stronger. It is something to be experienced not learnt. So my point is, experiences will make you all the more stronger in many ways.

You are right mostly but there are lessons that you can teach the next generation. However, ultimately, they will have to learn them on their own. It is through trials that we grow in knowledge and strength.

Ah, that's right, I was going to add that in but didn't see it as relevant. But there we go anyway. Lessons can only go so far though.
