My Goal For The Month, Who Will Join Me?

My goal for this month is to go out, but a tree, go to someplace secluded like up in the mountains near where I live, plant it, and call it my Hometree. It will be my Hometree, and I will tend and take care of it. I will watch it grow and I will be proud of it, and hopefully in years to come I'll come back to my Hometree and see it in a big spectacular state, something to be proud of and show off to my lifemate, children, and maybe even my grandchildren. It will be a reminder of the life changing milestone event in my life. It will be my retreat when I need time to myself to go sit by my tree and think.

Who else would join me by planting their own Hometree in their area? I would love to see others join me in this I will post pictures when I do do it

i would LOVE to do that, but im not sure how my mom would react if i asked to buy a tree...

That's actually a really great idea. I may have to plant one somewhere while I am out in the wild this summer

Please be sure that the tree you are planting is native to the area!

I want to, but where do I put it? I fear that the city may cut down the tree I use atm to cast me away into my other world (long story). If they kill that tree, I'm going to plant a new one there, even if I move out of the state in the distant future.

Ewya save that tree, I'm really afraid for that tree. It's an extremely important symbol to me, when I'm in a corner with no place to turn, I look out my window and see.

Don't put it in the city then ma tsmukan? put it somewhere sacred!

Yes, I have a somewhat similar issue. I would absolutely love to do this, but the only wilderness I have near me is part owned by a water company, part privately owned and all the rest of the land surrounding it is farmland... I'm already trespassing when I go there to meditate.

I would absolutely love to do this though, I think it's a fantastic idea. Maybe if I go far enough into the back of the woods, there will be a spot secluded enough to do it...

I live up against a decent sized wooded area. Behind my house lies a small ravine that has a stream flowing just at the bottom, with a few small ponds. On the other side of this ravine lies the property owners, and I wonder if perhaps I could find their phone # and give them a call, asking if I could plant a tree of my own back their...I know a perfect spot for it =). Definitely something I'll look into.
