I will watch it grow and I will be proud of it, and hopefully in years to come I'll come back to my Hometree and see it in a big spectacular state, something to be proud of and show off to my lifemate, children, and maybe even my grandchildren. It will be a reminder of the life changing milestone event in my life. It will be my retreat when I need time to myself to go sit by my tree and think.

Who else would join me by planting their own Hometree in their area? I would love to see others join me in this I will post pictures when I do do it
What a GORGEOUS idea!!!! I'll most definitely think on this.

Ahem.

I thought this challenge (planting a tree, that is) most worthy, but like others, I knew that in my case it wasn't likely that I would be able to plant my own "Home Tree." I live in the desert, and if any of you know what caliche is, you'll know that it's akin to planting something in concrete. I've got a nifty litte saguaro cactus growing in my itty bitty front yard on one side, and this great big palm tree on the other. Not much room for more forestation.

So. What to do?

My soggy brain finally solved this just as I was getting ready to call it a vacation (back to work tomorrow).....instead of planting a new tree, I thought I'd help nurture the Tree of Souls with a donation, and did just that. Considering how incredible this place is, I feel pretty doggone good about it, ma tsmukan si tsmuke!

Thanks for a fun first day on the forum.

Brilliant idea! I'll definitely give it a go. Though there's a lot of trees in Ireland, Im gonna have to put a tag on it to make sure it's mine!

this is a great idea !!
reminded me of this thing I'm doing
I picked up this really really young maple tree, it's like year 0
I'm keeping it in a jar for now..taking good care of this little guy. For now I didn't found myself a place to call home. When I do, this is the place where I'll plant it. Where it take roots that where I'll do the same...
