Very strange dream I had with Avatar characters
You know, like any straight guy who saw avatar, you can’t help but think about Neytiri after you go to sleep. I had a dream about her last night, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a good one.
It was present day, and I was walking at night (can’t remember why or where I was going) and was carrying a pistol, which I believe was the HK .45, when I saw Jake Sully across the street, holding a cell phone. Then, for reasons that I can’t even figure out, I pulled out my pistol, and was about to shoot him in the head when I got tackled to the ground and the weapon flew out of my hand. I turned around and saw Neytiri holding a M16 assault rifle and aiming it at my head. She just said “You kill for no reason whatsoever, you are disgusting.” Her face looked really scary, because it contained contempt and hate, and right before she pulled the trigger, I woke up. I don't understand why my subconscious put me into that scene. It felt pretty awful.

Do you have any regrets? I do sometimes when these kind of dreams occur. For instance, I feel like my best friends want to trick me into going into a slaughter house by saying it's a haunted mansion and that it would be fun. I found that I have trust issues with people and that I feel like I kind of played a bad practical joke on them, assuming it's all in good fun.
I could imagine Neytiri stabbing me to death just before I pull the trigger, if I carried some kind of ignorance toward something in the real world. Something I would consider to be important to myself (Ex. You say your going to be a hardcore student and study, and get them A's but you don't even pick up a book. You do this procrastination trip for months on end and you had it but your commitment level has never seen such low levels). Such a big mess of repression inside can lead to chaos in your mind, your mind wants something but your not giving it.

I've had a few strange dreams regarding Avatar, although I don't think they were trying to tell me anything. The strangest I've had so far is that I dreamed I was in an 1600s victorian household and Neytiri was my old ailing aunt.
I have no idea what must have conjured that up, but it was crazy. I also had two younger brothers who were both transformers action figures. Norm was my wife. I am not lying, I swear.

I've heard dreams are everything from premonitions (I've experienced about two that could arguably be foreshadowing, whether it's dumb luck or something else is a discussion for another day) to your brain doing "maintenance" the way a computer defragments/error-checks a hard drive. I've even heard dreaming helps create memories. In any case, whatever the reason, the process mashes things together in weird ways, resulting in the rather odd dream described above. I've not really dealt with or thought about "dreams as a reflection of the inner being" though.

I've had quite a few Avatar dreams, some of them multiple times, but never any really weird ones.

I've never remembered any Avatar dreams, but since Avatar, I've been waking up just as tired as I went to bed, sweating. I know I've probably been having some epic dreams/nightmares about Avatar, just cant remember it though.

Well atleast you got to see Avatar characters in your dream
But we all have bizzare dreams like this, sometimes they are crude or violent even though you may not be that kind of person. A few weeks ago I dreamed that I was at a primary school reunion and one of the guys was in his car and he said something to me that annoyed him so I pulled him out of the car and repeatedly punched him in the face, although in real life I wouldn't do such a thing.

dreams reflect what your soul is working with at daytime , your deepest worries ,desires etc. , maybe it was like you said , you desired Neytiri and wanted to get rid of your competition , resentment is human .

That's intense!
There's a lot that isn't understood about dreams- whether they're your brain internalizing and converting short-term into long-term memory or something more, there will be little specific answers on what any particular dream could mean for a couple decades at least. You could also interpret that in many ways. Must have had your (dream) heart pounding a little! Myself on the other hand... Last night I dreamed I was in some sort of cargo loading dock by the sea, with a few friends. Then zombies showed up, and we had to defend our little area... They were after my pens. Hmmm, come to think of it I had an interesting conversation with a good friend of mine about pens we like today.
