Im also curious how everyone has the 'Tree of Souls' title in their sigs (including yours). I've looked around Photoshop and google images and couldnt find either the font(s) or png. image. Any help guys?

What he said. I like to see other members from AvF coming to see ToS, and see what we're doing here. I won't be going anywhere near AvF, That default skin just makes the forum....not Avatar anymore. Its just a forum with Avatar subjects. Meh. I love ToS, and I will be staying here. I just don't want any bad blood between the two forums, people should be able to come and go as they please.

Well, I moved very recentley here. After quite a lengthy vacation from Avatar-Forums I was looking forward to going back, however when I did, it just didn't have the same feel or same sense of closeness. I wanted to be back in an Avatar community that was more like family again. ToS is what Avatar-Forums used to be like.

To put it simply, Avatar-Forum lost its appeal to me, I found ToS and alot of familiar faces that I remembered from Avatar-Forums. The simplicity of these forums and the ability to get to know everyone very quickly is the reason I joined Avatar-Forums. Now, with thousands of members in AF, I find it hard to retain a sense of family. I still love Avatar-Forums, for what it did for me. It gave me refuge, shelter in my time of need. I still go back no and then because i am very much connected to that site. However, I here we are gathered at the Tree of Souls and I think i will camp here awhile and enjoy the community.

I had tried for a bit to post on both forums but it got to the point that I was on TOS all the time. I don't recognize anyone much on the AF anymore. Everyone that I had become acquainted with moved here and I have met other people on here too. It really is a family. We respect one another so we are able to have a variety of discussions that honestly could never take place on the AF. That is why I am staying here.

When ToS was first created, I thought it was because someone was banned for saying stuff about the new layout (Cmon guys, it wasnt that bad). So the person along with several other people created ToS, and then everything went crazy. No offense, but you guys ruined AF for me and several other people. Most of you here on ToS were the people I started out with on AF, the original people, I had a blast on AF with all you guys back in the beggining. But, ill agree with Human no more, is 2 weak forums better than 1 unified forum? Cmon, we are all true avatar fans, cant we settle our differences. I know people didnt like the way the forums changed, Apollo, "mentally and physically." But cmon new scenery caused a sort of revolt against AF. The basis of the site was still the same, same people, same threads, same good ol' times. All in all, in my opinion, it was a mistake to create ToS based of a petty indeference. I'll still come here but this is sad, very sad only.

Sorry, but when did I say that? I've never said anything of the sort...

There was far more than a simple visual difference in it for me. I depend on my friends here, and I did at AF before now, to keep me going. I really do need somewhere. AF just wasn't helping any more.
Really, I'm amazed by everyone's dedication, I originally only mentioned the idea of starting our own form as a possibility to a small group of friends. We brought a few others in we could trust, and it just grew from there. I'm still amazed nearly every day about what we have built here. It defies just about all my experience of communities on the internet, how it has grown and we have developed real friendship, real understanding.

i joined AF in the middle of Feb. back then there was still friendship closeness etc, it gradually came after the layout change, i stayed there, and any heartfilled post i made i was just met with mediocre or simply cruel answer and i decided that i wouldnt stand it and i when here, and i simply love it! i can share from the bottom of my heart and still be accepted, comforted etc ToS and all users, I Love you! <33

Are you sure you were on the right Avatar forum lol?!

Sure there's the few sarcastic folk at AF (Im probably one of them but I try to keep sarcasm in text at a min.) but I've only come across cruel comments from flamers and even then there's few. AF (or AvF is what ToS calls them) is a great forum with people just like the members here, we're all Avatar fans here.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about..... Quite frankly I feel insulted and so should the great members at AF that to this day welcome new members with love and undrstanding in the many many threads that are made there everyday. I am one of the most active AF members there is, and I can say that I see the opposite of what you are saying. This frustrates me to no end mainly because of how I feel about my brothers and sisters at AF, including Dreaming of Pandora, Josie, tm, caveman, sempu, Grey Wolf, Profound Heart, Tap, Vrrtep, and Avatar Dreamer to name a few. Several of the comments in this thread about the atmosphere at AF are simply not true.
