lol i am too, my gf, parents, and a couple of friends, and the guy i bought my poster and soundtrack from (complete stranger) all think im crazy... :s

I don't know... I feel like I should be uhh... too old for this kind of thing I guess, plus, as pandora said, people would think I am just completely nuts.

I think with me people just think I'm a fan of the movie, nothing deeper... how far from the truth they are. I can't really explain to anyone around me my true feelings for this movie... how deep they go, so I know what you're going through, maybe not as much though

And I know pandora, but it's not so much me but my parents, they're doing the whole "this is just a phase" thing with me again...

Aye. My parents probably already think I've gone a little crazy ... I've got Avatar-themed wallpaper on my laptop, which has led to a few funny looks, and I keep asking if we can get a copy of the DVD (no luck on that front yet, alas).

Same here. I don't know anyone in real life who I'd feel comfortable telling the truth, and in general I try to avoid even bringing up that I like Avatar (there are too many Avatar-haters at my university).

Especially given the sharp criticism many have for it -- I really don't want to hear things like "you paid money to watch that movie?"...

lol i like how you made the "s" in See capitalized, if you really think asbout it avatar is the most popular movie of all time, yet true fans (that are your friends, or anyone you know) are scarce.

Exactly... I'm actually thinking and hoping at the moment, because now it's on DVD, I finally got my family to watch it... They seemed to really like it, I'm just wondering if they will start to show signs of PAD now. At least they actually did like it, I guess, but I would be disappointed if they didn't really See, I guess only time will tell.

I really don't care any more. I have many posters, I know at least one IRL friend has seen my picture of me in Na'vi costume (on the New Scientist article). It just doesn't bother me what people think, even if they are ayskxawng. I'll just laugh at them, and secretly feel sorry for them and wish they could See...
