I'm sorry to hear that you are not able to sleep Stanley. This sleep deprivation will catch up with you if you don't do something about it. I have the same problem. I don't get a whole lot of sleep. My husband and I usually don't get to bed until sometime after 11 pm. Then he has to get up at 6 am and I get up at 6:30 am. I have a hard time getting to sleep though so I end up waking up every couple of hours. I will wake up at 3am, look at the clock and go back to sleep. Then at 4 or 5 am. UGH, I can't stand it.

Currently, my best friend apart from my husband is having severe problems with lack of sleep. It is ruining him . He was once a lively fella who rode his bike everywhere, talked to anyone he saw, enjoyed doing many various activities, etc. Now, he is only the shadow of what he used to be. It is very painful watching him suffer like this. He has gone to several doctors and have taken several medications. Yet, very little seems to work. Now its effecting his relationship with his girlfriend. Its so sad .

So, Stanley, if this persists and it becomes a real problem, especially when driving, etc please get some help.

Ugh, Stanley, I know how you feel... Especially with school, it's so frustrating when I actually get a chance to sleep and can't fall asleep!

Whenever I have trouble sleeping, I find the best cure is some good exercise. Go for a long run to clear your head. Just pick out each thought as they come up and then let them go.

If you're having trouble sleeping, it's also best not to use anything with a bright screen (TV, computer, DS, etc) an hour or two before bed. Try shutting down the computer earlier and reading a book in bed instead of sitting in front of the computer until you're too sleepy to continue.

These usually work for me, hope that helps!

thanks for the advice, I'll have to try that running idea! and I also heard that using a screen right before bed makes your body still think its daytime and therefor harder to go to sleep, but the problem is I'm gone 12 hours a day and want to spend time on here with all of you haha but I should shut my computer off earlier... thanks again ma tsmukan!

The advice others have offered so far looks good. I've been feeling somewhat similarly myself -- I've found myself sitting and staring into space trying to pin down my feelings -- but I haven't had insomnia yet. That's just because of sheer physical exhaustion, though ... the semester is wrapping up and final assignments are due in all my classes. When finals are over I'll probably be posting my own pleas for help... Anyway, I hope you feel better and get some sleep soon! *hugs*
Thanks ma tsmukan! And yea, its hard its like I feel these feelings but why?

and it could go both ways after finals haha either 1) could be happy because your done with the school year or 2) I'm done... now what? lol thanks again

Probably both. I'm feeling really rather pointless right now -- I don't know what to do with myself -- so I'm guessing a lot of (2). I definitely don't have time for this or PAD in general right now, but Avatar stops for no final exam.
