I tried to once, I couldn't. My mind is too active and I find it impossible to not think. I kept going 'hmm, I'm not thinking... ah crap'. I guess it's the same problem as not being able to sleep.

I normally meditate to silence, or the sounds of nature around me.
It helps me to look inward when meditating..I'd find music to be a little distracting..

When I used to go to my counseler she would have my fingers attached to these little blue things with wires plugged into a computer. She would load this program which would make you use your brain to do things (no im not mentally retarded) like you would be in a log cabin in a beautiful forest and you would need to light a fire in the fireplace, but in order to do this you would have to be completely calm, it was pretty hard to do. There were several other things like that. It was really relaxing though.

I've tried but failed, there's simply no way I can meditate. I'm constantly thinking about things all the time and I can't help it..

With my new flowlights, I meditate with those as well now. I put on some calming relaxing music (usually trance, or just some ambient/nature music) and just feel the music in me, the beat of the bass beats like my heart, the vocals or synths flow through my veins, I breath out stress and inhale peace and love. I am one with myself and the music. Being the music, I wave my flowlights in a rhythmic fashion, and move my feet not quite in a dancing manner, but to feel the music. Hard to explain. I do this outside when its sunset or night. Usually I close my eyes, but I can picture my lights flowing, slicing through the night, some other times I have my eyes opened, tranced by the music and lights. What I would love to do is go down to the park by my house, attach a chord to my flowlights and wave them around in an amazing looking way.
Try some guided meditation |

I used to do yoga and we used to meditate as a class, it was very relaxing and cleared the mind. I really need to start doing it again...

Sorry to bump a topic, but I just started attempting to Lucid Dream about 4 days ago, never really have any time to meditate so why not do it in my sleep?
Unfortunately I haven't had much luck so far though..I even used this website for tips: click Still finding it hard though..

Mmm I tried LD as well for a while. It certainly stimulated my dreaming and I even had a few Avatar dreams, but I had virtually no control over what happened. I think those Avatar dreams were more of a coincidence than anything.
![]() I may give it another shot however.

Yes I do it when I can, I need to do more and work on the techniques as well. It really is a great thing I need to do more of. I do have a few books on it as well to try and improve, because I know the help it can provide is boundless.
