Hehe....thanks for the kind words, all. I have my reasons for being passionate about this sort of thing.

I've always thought of nerds as "the smart educated people," and geeks as "smart, educated people that are clever and uber productive. Geeks get it done! I wasn't aware of avatard being used by the Air Bender folk. (How does one bend air?) My bad. I am very much a geek, otherwise.

I have considered myself a nerdy geek because I got good grades in school. I read a ton of books, for fun on my own. I even would conduct my own research. I would get interested in a topic and then go to the library and read all I can on it. For instance, in my junior year I became interested in the French Revolution so I decided to read some giant books on the subject. I would stand at the bus stop with my nose in a book . I still do.

The geek side of me came out a bit later but it came in full force around the time of LOTR and Harry Potter. I even dressed up sometimes for movie showings. Also, the geeky/nerdy side extend to my botched attempt to learn Old English so I could read Beowulf in the original language. I had no problem reading Shakespeare or Chaucer (although Chaucer is written in Middle English. I can still mentally translate it).

The language I should probably brush up on and learn more is Latin. Since I am not going to grad school anytime soon, I would like to do some independent research on Medieval subjects. I guess a good smattering of French might not be a bad thing to have either .

Hmmm, conducting some lore are we? It's too bad that I'm young in terms of school. I need to go to school for finding the job instead of the interests I have. Since my biggest desire is drawing, I need to make my own job
