Wow thanks Griff for this awesome pics,

Some where beautifully where you can be alone to think is a good Idea, I love to do that, it help to relaxe, take time to think clearly and evacuate stress for a moment, it my kind of meditation, I love this moments. But sadly "soon or later you always have to wake up" and came back to the real life.

I think that real life may not be the best way to describe what we live in.

Thank you all for your replies.

As I said in my original post... it's not Earth, nature itself that is saddening... I know Earth is incredibly beautiful, and I do take long walks out in nature when I have the chance...

It's rather the community and life situation we have today... Sure, I can be outside, experience the beauty of Earth... but once I get back, I get reminded of the harsh reality. As I said in my OP, the sense of community... where everyone around you, every day, are persons you can share your life with... it's not present in modern society.

And I mean... what happens i the future? Will I get a repetitive job, do the same things every day..? What am I striving to accomplish right now?

I mean...I don't want to live like this... it isn't my home - it feels like I don't belong here...

I know exactly what you mean... I don't belong on Earth. I want to live like the Na'vi do.

I want to do something different. Not be trapped, forced to spend the rest of my life doing the same thing, all for nothing, but I don't know how

The only way to break out of these funks is to get out and experience everything you possibly can. Keep your eyes and your hearts open aysmukan si aytsmuke.

This is an ideal situation for a big change, and I can see some motivation in them words. I suggest you 'create' your own world. Of course, it won't be easy. Being the leader of your own world is a hard challenge, but if you can manipulate how things turn out (the things that are within your control), you'll see the people around you taking notice. You own the world, and they are merely guests and observers. Respect the rules and boundaries that a city has on you, but when you get home, do whatever the hell you want. Listen to loud music, paint your walls with glow in the dark paints, dance with yourself, it doesn't matter. Let your mind loose in your home. And when your outside, act as an ambassador of that world, show no fear of letting the world see. Your a free spirit. *I'm assuming you live by yourself*

This.

I see a lot of replies of people saying "take a walk" or "go camp somewhere," but the only problem with that is that, when it's over, we're all still back in our old jobs, our old schools, the old 9-5s, the old offices, and when we run out of vacation time at work, no more vacations. Why can't we live the way we want to live everyday, not just for a little while? Why are we forced to do what the world wants us to do, even when we don't want to? If we are all going to die our own deaths one day, why the hell can't we live our own lives?

Why can't people embrace their untamed spirits, the way the Na'vi do? Why do we feel the need to repress and chain ourselves into modern society?

I swear, this makes me so angry sometimes. I was watching the news about riots in Greece, and part of me wanted them to overthrow the government.

WOW totally agree with you, that is what I was saying by "Soon or later you always have to wake up" In my other post.

I know, and I disagree. We don't have to "wake up" at all, we are woken up right now! All we need to do to fight society is to see what society is - ideas - nothing more. There are no physical barriers keeping us from living the way we truly want to, only the ideas of society we are indoctrinated with.

It's kind of like the Matrix. To most people, the Matrix was a physical trap, something that was inescapable, and even when given the option of leaving, most people would simply turn it down, choosing the comfort of the Matrix. Sound familiar? It's the same situation today with modern society. We are told that getting an education and getting a job is something we have to do, and the alternatives, such as being a vagabond or living in the wild, are living hells. Any one of the billions of people within the Matrix could have escaped, but they believed the lie of the Matrix to be the truth.

And like in the Matrix, Neo saw the construct for what it really was, just a bunch of computer language, nothing more. We are like Neo, we See what modern society really is, just a bunch of ideas, nothing more. And like Neo, we can use our Seeing to fight for our freedom. To simply shut our eyes, and "wake up," as you say, would be the biggest mistake in our short lives we could ever make.

I agree 110% Tsyal Makto. Avatar and The Matrix (1st one) are my 2 favorite movies (Avatar 1st of course). Together, the intertwining message of a blind and ignorant society and a fading respect for life/ nature illustrates my lease on life. I completley refuse to conform to what modern society expects of me. Not saying I am going to be a couch potato and waste it all, i'll still get a college degree and a job protecting the environment, but more in the sense of being who I am and "waking up" from the indoctrination.

Yes I know, and I agree with all your points, but what I mean by "soon or later you always have to wake up" is for example, when you go take a walk in wood to forgot about the problem of the society, you can't stay in the wood for ever, you always have to back to the society, at your work or school, because you can't survived without the society. this is how I see it, maybe you can light my path.

After I have read auroraglacialis post it's clearer, thanks for his or her message.

I don't want my post to be misunderstand, and start debating I just want to show why I wrote "soon or later.....".

Eltu, if I had a penny for every time I thought of that in my entire lifetime, I would be a millionaire.

Don't let this drag you down. The future is not set in stone. You create what you want to create. Don't let others or even me tell you what you want out of life. Follow your own passions. Start small. Take it one step at a time, like what I'm doing now.

Making a world filled with peace will take time, but it only takes one significant moment to be completely at peace, which is right here and now. Through that, you can be a beacon of light to others and they will follow and realize their own.

Be a shining light; that is all you can do at this moment. The future lies in your hands Eltu, nobody else's.
