Idea: "Just the bare basics" Weekend
The idea is simple: reduce consumption of any kind of goods to the minimum: electricity, oil,... Two days living with just the necessary: three foods a day, water, your bed and clothes, and the phone.
Leave the PC, iPod, and TV apart; read instead some of that books you've got covered by the dust in your old bookcase (perhaps a classic such as "Robin Hood" or "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde"); or call some friends and walk outside to talk. And why not making a visit to your family, and stay some time together?
Also, try to spend as less money as possible. A 30$ budget would be enough for two days.
Simplify your life for just a weekend.
Who's in?
PS: For those who really have the need of keeping themselves online, you can reduce the weekend to a day and keep using the PC. But don't make it a time to stare at the screen all day long, try to stay no longer than two hours a day.
