Default World's dumbest sport

I found this in a magizine today when I was bored at school. I think the pic speaks for itself!

Most intense sport, more like.

Must be a total rush.

You want the stupidest sport ever? Meet extreme ironing.

When gravity and a steep road grade just won't cut it...add a engine But it looks absolutely terrifying actually.

At 150 miles per hour??? Well, at least he doesn't have to fall very far. I've done 152 on a sportbike, though, and the feeling of control was just barely there. I can't imagine going that fast, that low, with my feet and other parts leading the way. Am I getting old, or am I just smart? (I have to admit, it does look like the kind of fun I'd like... )

Now that Extreme Ironing. Those guys have got guts. Bet they get ALL the pretty girls, too.

It is actually pretty terrifying even just using gravity. Back in the late 80's I did a few runs on a road only going about 45 and it seemed like a lot faster. These guys with engines are plain crazy. Some more info of the guy in the photo is here Powered Streetluge

He got that thing going over 100. Another guy using a Harley engine got to 145.

They have a T Shirt! Can you say truth in advertising.

Speed is all what you used to. I routinely go 90 (145 kph) on my dirt bike. I've been up to about 110 (170kph) on dirt bikes faster than the one I own. Nothing like going down a dirt trail next to the freeway and be passing the cars. The weird thing is that it feels safer than going 110 on a street bike.

True, when you're accustomed to driving something and know what the limits are it isn't scary to go beyond 100mph. But to be honest I don't think I could ever feel comfortable traveling that fast 2" off the ground, going feet first

If you think that's stupid, how about chasing a wheel of cheese down a rediculously steep hill?

They've called it off this year due to health and safety fears unfortunately. It's a sport that has been going for about 200 years.

There tends to be a lot of sparined joints, pulled muscles and a few broken bones.
