If you want to, you can listen to this while you read. It's pretty much what inspired this whole thing. (Warning - it's D&B but it's not heavy and it's really quite beautiful. Trust me on this one.
)Completely bucking the trend. It seems to me that in today's backwards society, things like deep thought, a want for a better life, the search for a soulmate and expressing some of your deepest emotions are becoming ever more forbidden and that we're just supposed to fit into the slots mercilessly provided for us. Uniform pieces for uniform spaces. Men are supposed to be uber-macho tough guys while women are supposed to be pretty little things to be cared for. Together, we're supposed to thrive on a sickly false image of 'perfection'. What I see here is something quite incredible. I see men who - on the surface - apparently should be able to cope with anything and be completely solid... Yet they are so soft, so soulful, beautiful and thoughtful on the inside, seeking things that are supposedly deemed unachievable or 'wrong'. I see women who are strong, resloute and equally as incredible and intricate in soul and heart seeking the same things. People from all walks of life, different cultures, origins, nations; all coming together in unity. We all want to move in the same direction, but like a drop in a river, we all flow towards it in our own way. What I see is a people who really interact in the way it should be. Soul to soul, emotion to emotion, heart to heart. I know there has been a question raised before that simple use of language could never convey efficiently how a person feels. That they are just empty characters in an empty environment. Well this I must refuse to believe. I have read many things here that have made me feel. Made me connect with each and every one of you. From the smallest, seemingly most insignificant comments to the long passages of deep insight and introspectivity. The meek cries for salvation, The warm whispers of love, The low hum of thought, The energetic shreik of hapiness, The shout for a fair future. All of it carries so much gravity... Even dissonance flows into the torrent. But it does not taint it, it simply makes it richer. I can truly say that everyone here is the reason I still have a hope, faith in the human race. I thought we would all be lost, a minority confined to floating in an ether, only chance encounters to be reliant on. That lierally everyone who surrounded me was empty, devoid of all feeling, just trying to get through each day for the paycheck at the end of another month, never experiencing life... But I now know this is absolutely not true. Not in all instances. We were all brought together by a common interest, a beautiful experience and we have so much to thank for that. For this has grown into something far more beautiful. Like a cherry tree's first blossoms opening. We now build our own experiences to live, with the support of each other's powerful souls. I'll be there forever, being who I am, feeling all of you. I hope you all will join me. Oel ayngati kameie aysmukan sì aysmuke. Never stop Seeing. Never stop feeling. Never stop... Loving. (P.S. Phew, what a soppy (but completely truthful) outburst... Originally intended for the poetry section, it became a slightly less poetic message that I wanted to share with everyone. )

Wow! That was so incredible! Oel ngati kameie ma tsmukan, truthfully I do. It's all so amazing really, after Avatar and before AF, I truly felt I was the only one experiencing these feelings that I had, but once I met you, and listened to you, you all gave me hope, hope for connection for each other, and hope for a better future. Irayo ma tsmukan, this is being added to my Avatar folder

The community here definately gave me hope. The first day after AVATAR, i sat on the couch the whole day looking at pictures of Neytiri.then one day, i found AF. A community of people who gave me hope, effectively saving my life. Thank you all!

That made for rather nice reading. I would say it 'flowed' quite nicely itself, and the music certainly added to it.
I'm probably looking too much into it, but you seem to express, in an abstract fashion, a feeling I have myself.

We are like fireworks in the night, each a solitary starburst, but collectively adding our own light to the backdrop that is the Milky Way. We are alone but not, because while we cannot join with the bionetwork that is the fictional Pandora, we can connect our thoughts and verbal feelings via this crazy, weird thing called the Internet. The Internet. The Web. What a wonderful connection. I only wish that I could hear your voices as well, see the expressions on your faces. See the smiles, feel the *hugs.* I am affected by this place, and indeed I feel the love you all share, and I share mine with you as well. Truth be told, though, that the dawn will come, and we will need to continue our growth on our own in the mundane world. That doesn't mean an end to this love or this place, for just around the planet, there is another starry night.
![]() Fkeu'itan, that was a wonderful sentiment you shared, and the backdrop music fit nicely. |

Wow, what a beautiful post, Fkeu'itan. I think I've said it before, but you have a absolutely lovely way of expressing yourself, and I feel the same.
![]() Taw, that was some beautiful imagery. ![]() And while I know they are a poor substitute... *hugs for all of you*. They are heartfelt, all the same. |
