Rougly 2 cents worth of personal opinion on the matter: No-one has the right to tell anyone what they are or are not allowed to do to themselves. Thus, I think all drugs should be legal for recreational purposes. I'm not sure why it needs to be more complicated than that. And for the record: I have never and will never use any chemical drugs, including but not limited to nicotine, ethanol and caffeine (except what little can be found in tea). I guess. Then again, so does ethanol and world of warcraft. Should they be banned?

A tv or video game addiction doesn't cause someone to drive while intoxicated, and kill other people, or ruin other people's lives. There is no illegal tv or video game trade. There aren't people dying daily to a "TV war" like there are in the drug wars. And, tv and video game states can only reach the mental state. Yes, they can ruin someone's life, but are also a lot less likely to. A drug addiction or alcohol addiction can cause a physical addiction, where the body begins to shut down, and have serious dangerous side effect when it doesn't receive the substance it is addicted to. A tv or video game addiction has a much smaller chance of ruining one life, or messing up a family. Illegal drugs cause death everyday, have started drug wars, and are [I]a lot[I] more likely to cause problems. ps: I would support the legalization of marijuana, and would agree that if it is used properly it can have a positive effect on one's life, if they are very careful in how they use it. I however do not use it. |

There was someone at my school talking about drugs. He had no evidence to prove Marijuana is dangerous, so he just made up a story about a man who had gone mad smoking it. And he had told a different story about the same man to each class. LOL.
The more research I do, the more acceptance Marijuana gains in my mind. I actually want to try it now. I have never had this feeling towards alcohol or tobacco anyways, they are bad ninat. EDIT: WTF at the ninat? I typed ninat. EDIT2: ... ah, a new scensoring thingy... Last edited by Fosus; 03-02-2011 at 10:46 PM. |

I don,t do or like the stuff my self, but one person's buiness is their own, and if they do it in their own place, what ever, I am not the police, but if it interfers with my lifestyle then there is a problem. I lived in a building that was full of welfare and they about 60% of them did it..... I am paying them thru taxes to do this.NO! I do belive it can be an entry drug to some. Where there is drugs, crime goes in hand with it. They will feed their habit at any cost.(NOT all people.) In life I guess you will have to take everything as an individual case, by case.

The current cost of the war on drugs:
Drug War Clock | DrugSense Now take a look at this: If Marijuana Production Were Legal: Projected Tax Revenues, by State | Sloshspot Blog $7,098,100,000 in debt so far this year. vs $778,200,000 in revenue. Now, personal liberty issues aside (what the P&T video was about), this seems pretty lucrative, no? And I thought Americans were bitching about the debt? Well, the solution seems pretty clear to me.

Bringing up an old topic
![]() I'm really convinced about the excellence of cannabis for medical use. It's a good painkiller, it seems to help everything from acne to asthma, MS and Cancer... plus it's not poisonous like many medicines for the latter diseases. Weird how it's rarely used. ![]() I'm sure medicine industry lobbyists will make sure it isn't going to be legal any time soon, though. Last edited by Fosus; 06-14-2011 at 03:30 PM. |

it may even lead to the conception of something great O_owouldn't it be "outstanding" if James Cameron came up with the whole idea of Avatar when he was high
