For those who don't know it, it's a 20th Century "revelation" book. Just read the first page.
"...Human beings are still more confused and uncertain about the relationships of the divine personalities designated by these numerous appellations. Because of this conceptual poverty associated with so much ideational confusion, I have been directed to formulate this introductory statement in explanation of the meanings which should be attached to certain word symbols as they may be hereinafter used in those papers which the Orvonton corps of truth revealers have been authorized to translate into the English language of Urantia." Kind of suspicious, huh? I haven't read it completely, although it seems to be some kind of philosophical, religious and historical book. With some weird facts, talking about the Six Races, Adams and Eves,... and including a whole book dedicated to the four main religions of the world; and yes, it talks extensively about Jesus Christ. Oh, and they call Earth "Urantia". I'd rather not comment more because I haven't read it completely, and even though I can feel this is just cheap religious propaganda with no actual foundation disguised in a supposedly "Truth" book, I'd rather read and then rant. If you want to take a look, there are plenty of electronic copies round the Internet; even a free iTouch and iPhone app. The only question remaining in my head is if this book is so true, shouldn't it be a way to test it out? If not it could be perfectly taken as a bunch of fallacies. Which is most probably what it is. What do you think?
