I'm that kind of man, that never cries, period ! .. but I must admit, that I was very very close to it in many scenes of that film, and my stomach was shivering in some scenes which was a quite weird feeling I never experienced before

Free your emotions! Let em out like a rain that never ends!

To me, crying is the purest way to feel both good and bad feelings, try it, I promise it's worth a try

Avatar helped me free my emotions... I honestly cannot remember the last time I cried before... I was just blisfully strolling through life... Then I saw Avatar and my eyes were shed to new worlds... Worlds that let me dream them up and live on them, worlds that taught me it was okay to cry, worlds that truly made me See. Now I cry more often and I'm okay wih that... It feels so good to cry. I also never cried in a movie before... Ever. I cried all 10 times i've seen Avatar.

I've teared up at multiple points in the movie every single time I've watched it (a total of 19, all in 3D). Nothing else has even come close to affecting me like Avatar does. My brother-in-law put it best: "That's not a movie; it's a work of art."

The tricky part each time is figuring out how to wipe the tears off my face without making it obvious that I was crying.

I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat when Hometree came down, Jake's first flight and when Grace got shot.
Also when Eytukan died.

There could have been something in my eyes when Jake and Neytiri express their emotions toward each other, especially in the hut near the end, but don't tell anyone.

I don't think I have ever totally cried but I have been misty eyed in some of the scenes. It is a very emotional movie and it does tug at the heart strings in certain parts such as the destruction of hometree, the "i see you" scene, etc.

I rarely cry, and never in public, but Avatar... It just affected me so deeply, I am completely unashamed to have cried in just about every time I've seen it, only time I didn't really was the first time, and I was certainly close to it then.

My eyes watered, but thats about it. My heart beated faster and I sensed a rush of emotions but no tears, as a previous user stated there is too much to process soo no tears can be shed, you are just stunned.

I just went to see Avatar again today (might be my last chance!), and when it came to the part of the Omaticaya making their way to the Tree of Souls, and Jake's voice saying "The people say Eywa will provide. With no home, no hope, there was only one place they could go..." I just lost all control. I thought of AF, and thought of this place here, and all of you guys, and just couldn't contain the tears.

I'm a little emotional just remembering that!

I watched Avatar again yesterday...
  • Valkyrie Shuttle entering atmosphere
  • Jake running in his avatar body
  • Woodsprite saving Jake by landing on Neytiri's arrow
  • Neytiri killing viperwolves
  • Jake's first flight
  • Jake becoming one of The People
  • Neytiri yelling at Jake
  • Hometree destruction
  • Eytukan's death
  • Jake coming as Toruk Makto and Neytiri greeting him
  • Jake's speech (and whole gathering of clans)
  • Scene where Trudy, Tsu'Tey and Norm's avatar die
  • "Eywa has heard you!"
  • My Jake
  • End credits
