How cool LOVEavatar and Advent.
I'd love to do an exchange program, but it's pretty expensive.

This one wasn't, only ~ 220 US $, which is rather cheap concerning all the things you get to do, food and travel all included. I was supposed to go on a similar project to Holland, but since that one cost about ~530 US $, there weren't enough people signing up.

Mmm that sounds like good value, But since everything is normally close in Europe the airfare wouldn't be too much. However for us in Aust, going anywhere internationally means coughing up a lot of money. $1500 AU is a normal fee for airfares to Berlin for example.

Damn. But Germany is not like Ukraine, my school (+ the government) basically paid for the whole trip, which was about 200.000 SKR = 30.700 US $. The Ukrainians didn't have any money, they are still a poor and developing country. The travel there depends a lot of the countries wealth and status, and Ukraine was pretty cheap in contrast to Holland.

That sounds fair, here we have to pay for everything. >.< A shame about Ukraine, but they seem to be pretty good despite that. They have a real community thing going.

Just saw Eurovision Song Contest, which I hadn't even planed in the first place lol. Phew, I'm glad Sweden didn't win Feel kinda bad for Azerbaijan winning though, how they ever will afford to hold ESC next year is a mystery. :/ Georgia had the best (rock) song though And I loved Moldova's song hehe

Made it to Atlanta a few days ago and finally got decent internet access again. The trip was pretty nice but wish I got to spend more time in Washington so I could see more of Seattle oh well...

RT: I'm feeling listless, stuck in my room and trying to write a paper. I need to get outdoors again and have some sort of adventure to tire me out. Last week I biked 30 miles through Maryland and DC and it hurt so good when I was done; I need that feeling again.

So my job consists of restocking a fridge in an air-conditioned tent, with lots of large televisions and large sofas with good food.

I'm getting paid to lounge around.
