It could've been mediocre without being totally awful (in the opinion of not preteen girls) and still been successful, imo. Anyway, if one of our books ends up being awful, who cares? One of us will be rich. It's just an idea brought on by Twilight, it isn't necessarily related though.

General summary.
The future is grim. The USA has degraded into one massive sprawling city. Corporations operate unchallenged. The government is weak and ineffectual. Paranoia is high and the world sits on the powder keg that is a temporary truce between the world's most powerful Corporations. Enter Jana and Arron, modified humans who have escaped from the Corporation that created them. They work for however pays and don't bother with the details. After a job for a powerful and shadowy corporate figure ends explosively the survivors are left with a difficult task, complete the job at all costs. The only problem? This job is part of a bigger plot and soon things will come to a head. In this world peace is not an option and the only person you can trust is the one you just killed.

That sounds just like the info you'd find on the back of a best selling book.

Actually before I write anything I write out the "jacket" for the book. Either that or I put on some of my really epic music (Two Steps from Hell/Immediate Music) and "write" the trailer. It really helps you to get your ideas in order and set up the main gist of the plot.
