Can't we just agree on the fact that we are all different, and leave the anecdotal evidence out of the picture.

Just what kind of incense fumes are you inhaling there? If what you post is anything to go by, then it must be some serious stuff.

Or maybe, just maybe, you're not genetically predisposed to sunburns. I highly doubt you're willing the sunburns away

However, if you are >.> I must learn from you!

Well, for me, anyway, I guess it's that I always want to go outside. Walk around, see the Earth, smell the air. And I think to myself "If I get any sunburns, I ain't going to regret it." And, interestingly enough, I hardly ever get sunburns, despite being out for at least 3-4 hours a day. If my sis goes outside for that amount of time, she'll get burnt pretty easily.

O.O That's why I wear a hat, and long sleeved shirts.
Darn UVA and UVB rays.

A lot of what has to do with getting sunburns is who you are. It's just genetics and family genes, some people burn worse than others. I have never had a sun burn in my life. During the summer I am outside 12-14 hours a day and just get a real dark tan, never a burn. It's that way with my mom, dad, and sister. But my cousins burn a little easier and don't tan as much but my neighbor up the road who has more Irish heritige than me burns very easily.

I have some Native American heritige so I guess that helps.

For me I think it's a combination of my mother's english type skin and my father's slightly darker welsh skin type. I have slightly darker skin then English skin types so I think that's why I can get a tan without getting burned most of the time but I'm still highly likely to get burnt on certain places like my shoulders.

You can definitely see where the sun's hit me, though. My arms are a yellowish brown, and my upper legs (as I always wear long pants) are very white.

That's rubbish.

There's a genetic predisposition to it, but otherwise, it's just exposure combined with age. It does less damage to younger people, but it accumulates over years.

Well, I read a very interesting book about a woman who had cancer before, and also had a very difficult life before it. She fixed up her life, got a new mindset, and used the medicine she was prescribed, and she got over it rather quickly.

I wear a little sunscreen and tan, and then after the initial sunny occasion, I can hold up pretty well in the sun
