Oddly enough... I never saw the trailer!

I was busy with other aspects of my life when the movie was being advertised and released. I never saw the trailer until just now!
There are some pieces of dialogue that obviously never made it into the movie which I really, really hope make it into the re-release next month.
If I had seen that trailer before the movie came out I would have been a helluva lot more interested in the movie!
It's a great movie but I think (like in the Abyss) the little stuff that they took out would give the movie a lot more depth and better received by more people.
I know a lot of you saw the trailer and were amped up about it and have followed it along to this point.
Is there anyone else out there that are in my situation of coming in later and feel the way I do?
