My username: When I told my then future husband over the internet chatline we were on that I had very long hair, he nicknamed me Rapunzel. The name stuck and I use it for my online name now. The number 77 represents my birth year, 1977.

My avatar: I decided that I wanted to have a picture of Jake and Neytiri together. I love their relationship in the movie and although they don't exactly resemble our relationship, there are some echoes in it .

My signature: again, I wanted a nice pic of Jake and Neytiri but the song. Well, for Christmas in 2006, my then future husband (who hadn't seen me in person btw) decided as a Christmas gift he would write me two songs. He performed them for me over the cellphone on Christmas day. I cried for about 10 minutes. I was so surprised and deeply touched. Well, I had to point out to him that one of the songs sounded very much like a proposal song so he put it away for the time being until in June, 2007, after he had moved down here to Florida and when his parents had come to visit, he pulled out the song and proposed to me. Here it is in full:

Song for Rapunzel

Alone in the tower
a prisoner of love
Here hour by hour
You wait up above
a lonely Rapunzel
with no hand to hold
your beautiful heart, growing old.

Bewitched and bewildered
a lonely man too.
On seeing your beauty
He wants to deliver you.
But he has no ladder.
Your castle no stair.
The key is the touch of your hair.

Chorus

You won't walk alone.
I'll be by your side.
There will be no empty home
If you will be my bride.
the rest of my life will be
Song for Rapunzel and me.

Alas, I'm no hero
No royal pedigree
I stand here before you
I want you to be with me
I'm no prince nor handsome
No fairy tale to sell
I'm just a man who will treat you well.

I'd never thought that I would be
a prince in such a scene.
Rescuing the maiden
It seems like a dream.

I love you Rapunzel
I want you to be my wife.
I'd love to make you happy
All the days of my life.

And now you won't walk alone
I'll be by your side
There will be no empty home
if you'll be my bride.
And the rest of my life will be
Song for Rapunzel and Me.

Oh no, you won't walk alone.

My name is a play on my actual first and middle name. I used to frequent 'RP boards' that some turned out to be more egocentric than others. I created five different characters to 'play' in the forums there. I wanted something a bit more realistic and closer to me. Grace Augustine is a botanist and I work in a retail nursery, we're kindred spirits in the plant world I suppose. (Although I don't smoke.) The quote is from Georgia O'Keefe, and it was a totally random quote I found that I have used a lot because it is very true.
It would be exciting to study plants professionally, animals too!
My sig has just been created and as a debut, I am using Leyra's version to see how people like it.
Going back to my time on the Rp boards, signatures was a representation of your character. Kind of a first impression everyone would get from seeing it and would know the type of character you were playing. Mine never changed, it would be like changing your name.
This is a carryover to that and I present to you.... my two choices for signatures.
edit: I won't reveal who did these to avoid prejudice, My first choice is now the second one.

My username stems from the fact that I grew up in the Sonoran Desert (Southwestern U.S.). The user icon I chose is of Albert Einstein - someone I admire. My signature is a phrase my grandfather knew by heart (among many other phrases and poems).

Einstein is a brilliant man, far beyond just math as people may know him by... some, in fact most of my favorite quotes are from his wise mind...

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”

ect. I could go on and on about his imagination quotes. Imagination and dreams are a huge part of my life, and his quotes help me spread my wings to keep dreaming and falling away to distant lands that could never be, only in my imagination

I would recommend the book: Einstein: Ideas and Opinions. It contains letters and articles by Einstein on various topics.

My nick was a quick random choice when I joined AF months ago when I didn't know that there gonna be so amazing community like ToS that will become part of my life. The only reason why I choosed same for ToS (when I didn't know much about this place) was because I had idea to post into both forums and be easily recognized. But now I regret this decision, because I don't like this nick much.

I chose Helicoradian for two reasons. The flora of Pandora captivates me, especially at night with all the bio-luminescence. The moment after Neytiri threw Jakes torch into the water everything looked so surreal and I instantly fell in love with it. The other reason I chose this name is because of the sound it makes when it goes back into the ground. The first viewing had the sound cranked up a little too much and when Jake made contact with it, the entire auditorium jumped or flinched and the lady next to me momentarily levitated outta her seat For some reason it sticks out in my memory, I mean, it was kinda funny XD

My avatar is Neytiri <3 She's just so amazing in every single aspect. And I love her smile

The sig was made by Sovereign when ToS was just a couple of weeks old. He made a post offering to make sigs for anyone so I took him up on it and he did a pretty good job IMO. If it wasn't for him, I most likely wouldn't even have a sig because I lack artistic ability, have a really old version of Ps (7.0) and have no idea how to even use photoshop. And speaking of Sovereign, haven't seen him post in a while.

My username is a mashup of two slang words that both mean something between "cool" and "ultimate carnage" xDD I cannot properly describe it, but I think at least Na'vi_supporter knows what I mean I thought this up when I was like 8 years old and started using it in everyday conversation when I wanted to express that something is just %#&ing awesome well until I started using it as my username everywhere that is. It became kinda my second name, because I always react when someone calls me raso... Also it looks really cool when it pops up 10 times in a row in some FPS. I'm a playstation freak.

Anyway my avatar is Jimi Hendrix as you might have guessed, he's one of my biggest sources of inspiration and my ultimate musical idol. I adjust my playing style to his, so I'm not really that good at metal or so, but it's easier to play blues rock that way.

Signatures are pics of Number One guitar (actually those in the pics are copies, I couldn't find a good pix of a real deal, but they look virtually the same), the main guitar of Stevie Ray Vaughan - one of the most amazing blues guitarists of all time. He was insanely good player, like absolute master. His main influence was except many great blues players also Jimi Hendrix, and he had a very distinctive style and tone. He played almost always the cleanest amplifiers and used his agressive picking technique, tuning down half a step and the thickest and heaviest strings anyone has ever attempted to play to get that amazing overdrive. Along with insane volume of course. His strings were so thick that not many people could play his guitars. I'm using 10s at the moment and highest I ever got was 11 (I had 13 on acoustic but it was very hard to play and it actually broke the neck later lol), and he used 13s regularly. Once he even went up to 16s - insane. Also he always put super glue on the tips of his fingers before the shows, just to not wreck his hands completely. It was really on the limit what skin and muscles could handle... Just crazy.

wow what an article lol

My name is Vauktu. I first created it on AF back in January after first seeing Avatar. There's no deep meaning behind the name. Vauktu sounded like a name coming straight out of Avatar, and that's exactly why I have been stuck with the name since.

My signature was created by a nice fellow on AF a long while back after I had requested one to be made to match my avatar.

My display picture is a snap shot of Jake as he was confessing Quartich's plan to Neytiri right before the destruction of Hometree. I've had it ever since I first joined AF forums back in January. I should really get a new one.

I made this username from what I loved most about the Avatar movie; Pandora. What was merely day-dreaming of Pandora when I first joined AF turned to lucid dreaming soon after. Just a name really for how entrancing and immersive Pandora is.

All my avatars have Pandora in it (except for one Miles the Fox at one time). Why I chose this avatar is because Pandora is an image in the mirror, a mirror image of Earth is my take of it.

My sigs always have one of Pandora's magical features, this one being the atokirina'.

Ok then...

Username - It's Na'vi for "Mighty Son". Mainly for two reasons. I hold the belief that everyone has the ability to become great, something I aspire to. (And I don't mean 'great' as in global or wide-spread recognition, I mean great in the sense that you lived your life as best you could and helped everyone and everything. )

And the other reason is i'm not exactly what you'd describe as 'slightly built' (6' 1" and 16 1/2 stone )

Avatar - Mo'at was actually my second favourite character (behind the indescibable Neytiri) because of all her amazing traits. She's so resiliant, reasonable, forgiving, accepting and also because of her wise, spiritual nature... she just has so many amazing traits. Clearly that's where Neytiri gets it from )

Finally, my Sig - It used to be a picture sig and i was planning to make a new one - something I really must do - but the quotes are mainly things I myself have said that were like really true expressions of how I feel, but one of them I was asked by someone, or something, while i was in a very personally sacred place. (Some of you may not believe in that sort of thing, but I think it's an interesting question to pose anyway.)

Impressionist - because I like to stop beautiful moments which can't last forever (just like these painters who put them on a piece of paper with their brushes).
My avatar - one of my favorite pics of Neytiri. And because I'm female, my avatar is female too.
My signature - I made it in Photoshop. This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie (Jake's first flight).

My name's boring and unoriginal

I first signed up for online forums in middle school. Around that time, "Star Trek vs. Star Wars" for the game Star Trek: Armada was really popular. No, it's not what you are thinking. It has nothing to do with the Star Trek "Sovereign" class. It was drawn from this class of Star Wars vessel which was introduced to "Star Wars: Fleet Command," a total conversion modification for Star Trek: Armada 2.

Since then, I've used the same name for consistency. On some sites where "Sovereign" is taken (I've not actually seen one where the person with the name is active), I use "SovereignGFC." The "GFC" stands for "Galactic Fleet Command," which was a mod I started for Armada 2 and never finished. It would have pitted the Star Trek Federation, Klingons, Borg and Romulans against the Star Wars New Republic, Empire and Yuuzhan Vong with a race my friend and I made up, the Outcasts (uses exclusively fighter-carriers, no big capital ships) as well. I was going to throw in the Yeerks and Andalites from Animorphs too. This was contingent upon the completion of "Star Trek vs. Star Wars II" which I would use as a base to build on, but that never happened either.

I used the signature image because I liked the scene where Neytiri killed Quaritch--the look on her face when she nocks the arrow is just pure ownage.
