I'd ask you to sit down, but, you're not going to anyway. And don't worry about the vase.

Ohh, what's really going to bake your noodle later on is, would you still have broken it if I hadn't said anything?

I *love* the matrix it was the the pinnacle of the 90s even thought i was created in 1999. The era where many thought was better with the xfiles, alternative rock bands like everclear, and rapid fear of the government also area 51 was semi-acknowledged by our government.

I was a (and am to a certain extent) big fan of all three movies. They are vastly under appreciated and not given the look that they deserve.
I was a member on a fan board like this one for a few years and we had really deeep discussions and encountered some real... disturbed people.
There is soo much symbolism in those movies about existentialism and perception. Not to mention having two of the best actors out there. Sam Jackson and Keanu Reeves.

The scene where all the squids come pouring into the cavern is just terrifying!
The fight scenes between Smith and Neo are a bit long, but the best sequence of all is the freeway chase.
Epic!
I lost my copy of Animatrix, but have all three movies plus Matrix Revisited.
Truly an epic story with an epic heroes ending. Never played the game, didn't have the right tech and frankly, not much into games like that. But watched the cut scenes that were from the game to get a fill in for the following movies.

How many think that the machines kept some of Neo's DNA and started new ones? Or would that be self defeating on their part?

To quote what I said in another thread:

"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can hear, what you can smell, taste and feel, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."

"I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it."

"What if when you woke up, you didn't know the difference between the dream world, and the real world?"

"There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path."

- Morpheus

Avatar showed me that there is a path. The Matrix showed me the path.

These two movies are the very best I have ever experienced, and has literally changed the way I look at our existence. The amount of deeper messages in The Matrix is astonishing. And the more I put all the peices together, the more messages I see.

The message I see in The Matrix sums up both the purpose and the meaning of my life.

Oh and, some nice roleplay occurred in our IRC channel most recently, ending with...

(08:00:18 PM) Agent_Smith left the room (Kicked by The_Architect (GTFO my Matrix!)).

I also adore all three movies.

...That's all I really have to say about 'em, though. I saw the second and third relatively recently, about 4-5 months ago. I think of the sequels as just a continuation of what happened to Neo after he became who he was supposed to be, up 'till the end.

1st. Awesome.

Reloaded: Good, nice fighting scenes.

Revolutions: A movie we like slightly less then the first 2.

The first is really all about the basic plot and the action sequences/sfx. The second and third are mostly all about the storyline, where you really have to listen to everyone's lines to know what's going on.

Again, very well said... I never really Saw The Matrix until after Avatar, it was just a film before... It certainly has a message too though.

It's an INTERESTING one, but I never found it as relevant... It hasn't changed my outlook on life.
